Just add a few notes of energetic colors like green and cobalt blue if you are using cool white color for decorating whole room in order to avoid a monotonous atmosphere.
Paint one wall in indigo, dragonfly green or scarlet colors and use the same shade for few accessories like flower pots or cushions to create a sense of continuity.
Never use dark colors for small rooms as they make the rooms look smaller.
Use soft colors which make the space look larger.

Paint the walls  in more intense colors such as red, dark brown and green if you wish to create an atmosphere of liveliness and cheerfulness.
